Dr Ravi Gudivada is an RF and electromagnetics expert and researcher with over 10 years’ experience in antenna design, RF systems, electromagnetic simulation, wireless sensing, and microwave technologies. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Electronics from the University of Liverpool, UK completed in 2025 where his research focused on liquid antennas for mobile terminal applications.
Dr Gudivada joined the Infection Innovation Technology Laboratory (iiTECH), part of iiCON in April 2026. As part of this multidisciplinary team, he develops and integrates advanced microwave sensing systems for next-generation healthcare diagnostic and monitoring technologies. His work brings together his established expertise in RF engineering and sensing with emerging healthcare applications, with a particular focus on developing and testing sensing technologies.
Before joining LSTM, Dr Gudivada held research positions at the University of Liverpool, and Loughborough University as a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on RF sensing, RFID, antenna array systems, and emerging wireless technologies. Between 2016 and 2021, he worked as an Assistant Professor of electronics and communication engineering across different universities and academic institutions in India.
Dr Gudivada has published more than 32 research articles as first author in reputable journals, book chapters, several flagship IEEE conferences and has filed 3 patents relating to RF technologies. He is a peer reviewer for several prestigious journals including the IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, IEEE AWPL, IEEE OJAP, Wireless Personal Communications, and several other Springer journals. He has been awarded many research awards including a fully-funded research scholarship (2021) from the University of Liverpool, the young scientist award (2020) by the SPNS Technologies Ltd and Novel Patent Services India, and the young researcher award (2019) by ANITS India.
He is endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAEng) under the UK Global Talent route and continues to work at the intersection of RF engineering, sensing, and applied healthcare technology.
